Hei, well easiest might be soo when scale is changed for the function that visualizes the scalebar. It was done by Jon - so I am sure he implemented it that way that it is only changing when the zoom changes. So we should do the same, and totally independent of any mouse cursor movement. And Michael is right too - better not touch the general classes.
