will add a maven packaging profile for that.

there are lot's of fixes done already which are worth to be shipped out.

i see your point, but feel it's better to get bugfixes out as soon as possible 
even if not all or a majority has been fixed.
everything that is still open can be done with 1.5.3 or the next major release.

i pretty much expect that we will need 1.5.3 and will have 1.6 after that with 
the new features and reordered zoom tools.
after all we can only do what we can on our own time line ;)
