The attributes are added to each record. If an expansion is possible to generate a "link" to a CSV-spreadsheet? Then the data sets are smaller and easier to maintain the data. Which is comparable with sql and a 2-table join. Just this week (Monday) I made a plugin to "join tables" - as I had the same thought when seeing Michaels new CSV plugin. However, it does not create a link, but attaches the attributes and creates a new layer. I committed the plugin on Monday, so it is in the nightly build. However, I still need to translate it. now in German: Hallo Bernd, wenn ich deine Anfrage richtig verstehe, dann habe ich am Montag (fast) genau diese Funktion für OJ programmiert (= dachte das selbe wie du...). Nur "fast", denn es wird kein Link erstellt, sondern die Attribute werden angehaengt und eine neue Ebene erzeugt. Wie man einen symbolischen Link erzeugt ist mir naemlich nicht klar (glaube das geht in OJ nicht). Die Funktion ist schon in der NB, aber ich muss noch die Uebersetzung vorbereiten. Das sollte aber noch bis Ende der Woche passieren. Achja.. die Funktion ist dann integriert in OJ - d.h. extern vom CSV Plugin (...
