Dear Michael and Ede I have now tyested the WMS layer example and it seems to work OK by leaving out the check (actually setting it to zero). This will mean that if no layers exist (including a WMS layer) then the printed page will be blank, to which you can add furniture items - perhaps this might be useful by itself.
