sounds like a nice feature! 1 vector means translation only, or?
With three i guess you need to inlude adjustment calculations as eg QGis does in the georeferencing tool.
How about making a little blog post?

Hi all,
I added to PlugIn Tools-Warp-Affine Transform (from warping vectors) an experimental capability to do an affine transformation on raster images (only loaded via Sextante Raster framework, not single band raster).How to use: a) Draw maximum 3 warping vectors b) Select a Sextante raster, c) apply the plugin
The plugin is very experimental: it works fine with 1 or 2 vectors (move, rotate, scale operations), it becomes imprecise if a 3 vector introduces a high shear operation
