Hi,

Our experience is that this stream mode digitizing may be handy when digitizing
new material, but it may also lead to some problems later (with some
MicroStation based digitizing utility it was possible to keep mouse button
pressed and then just draw a line). It gives too many vertices, and if there
are some existing features on that layer then it is hard to keep topology
clean. Too many vertices might be avoided by adding an automatic
generalisation function the drops out points which are within minimum distance
and which are changing the angle of line less than some threshold.
