Hi German, I think it is based on forwarding plane because when you configure uRPF on a multi-homed environment you need issue the command "set routing-options forwarding-table unicast-reverse-path feasible-paths". You can find this on JNCIS-M study guide. But there is no mention about default route. I think you cannot use uRPF with only a default route.
