Jason, JUNOS supports global class 2 (IP address) and class 1 (local) endpoint discriminator options. Class 3 (MAC ID) is not supported by JUNOS.
Endpoint discriminator is not required in order to negotiate MLPPP. The Juniper is sending a Conf-Reject for that option, as expected.
