Every time I speak to Arista, I say, "you know, if your software had MPLS features at this price-point, we and everyone else would like to buy a lot more of them..." but they do not seem to understand the size of the market that is available to them. I'm sure they are doing a lot of good business in 10Gb ToR / End-of-Row, and are clearly quite good at it. The large amount of R&D needed to be an MPLS P box is, in their mind, not worth the potential business. I hope all of you guys say the same thing to your Arista rep whenever you order their kit for more ordinary uses. I agree that the biggest threat to Juniper and Cisco is Arista, but I don't think Arista knows it! :-) -- Jeff S Wheeler <[email protected]> Sr Network Operator / Innovative Network Concepts _______________________________________________ juniper-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/juniper-nsp
