Hi Björn,

Unfortunately browser vendors do not provide an API to hook into
platform spell checker, so it is hard to provide spellcheck for
notebook, hence it is not shipped in core, and will likely not be
shipped for a while.

You can though fall back on community maintained extension for the
Classic notebook, I'm unsure how well these work but you can find a
spell check extension here:

You can find more information on how to install these with in the
readme at the root of the repository.
