Hi M

Despite what they say the people often choose to ignore such devices as kilos
or metres. In Germany it is not uncommon to hear a housefrau asking for ein
pfund of erdbeeren but she gets just under half a kilo of strawberries!

The French, no don't get me started on the French, have all sorts of weird
units that get used in trade or in markets and it always seems to be in their
favour - strange that.

We have a whole parcel of so called metric martyrs who have been up before the
bench for selling fruit and veg in pounds and there's going to be a riot when
the try to kill off the pint!

Cheers
