I'm not sure about that. It's just that there are a lot of open and
apparently untriaged bugs in the tracker. One bug is a really large
patch that claims to largely enhance support for Windows terminals (at
least on my machine, editing lines spanning multiple terminal rows
doesn't work, not sure if this is related).

And then some features like Ctrl-R history search, but I can
understand if a maintainer skips that - it sounds like a lot of work.

I didn't contact the project owner yet as I wasn't sure if it's indeed
inactive. I wanted to ask around a bit before - it somehow seems
impolite to me to ask for inactivity if that might not be the case...
