Hi,

If you don't want to use JUnit to run your tests,
don't use WebTestCase, but instead, use WebTester.

You get a NPE because when JUnit run tests, it calls
the runBare() method which is overriden in WebTestCase
to initialize the tester attribute. You can try to
call runBare by yourself, but I'm not sure it will
works...
