thanks for your feedback.
Unfortunately the application is not publicly available (I should have
chosen a different one ... my bad); following your advice I have started
playing with the "extra" stuff of the application and setting
getTestingEngine().setThrowExceptionOnScriptError(false);
seems to prevent the exception (making me suspicious about the what's
actually coming out of the portal).
Going back to my original problem, calling saveAs(File f) is still not
working for me : the content of the file is the page source which makes me
wonder what the click event is actually calling ... where can I find some
examples/documentation of JWebUnit ?
p.s. : I will try to follow up with the HtmlUnit people about the
exception.
