Hi Jonathan,

JXplorer displays a predefined set of operational attributes via the
Properties button in the Table Editor. The predefined attributes are...

createTimestamp
modifyTimestamp
creatorsName
modifiersName
subschemaSubentry

...and only those with values are shown.

Of course, this wont help you b/c your attributes aren't in our
predefined set ...at least you know now :-). I'll look into fixing
this.

In the meantime, there is a way you can get your operational attributes
via a search, but it's not so nice...
1) Define a set of attribute to return which includes your operational
attributes (in the menu go to Search > Return Attributes List)
2) Open the search dialog and define your search criteria
3) Select your newly created return attribute list from the Information
to retrieve drop down
4) Click Search.

You should get back a dialog which shows your return attributes (the
operational attributes) for each entry that was returned in the search.

If you are only interested in one entry, do a base object search with
object class present (and selecting your Information to retrieve).

HTH.
Trudi.

Subject: [Jxplorer-users] Operational attributes?

Hi,
I'm using JXplorer 3.1 with Sun Java System Directory Server 5.2. I'd
like to be able to see operational attributes in JXplorer, the way the
Sun GUI does. I was looking for a configuration option that would
enable this, but don't see anything. Does JXplorer work with
operational attributes?

The operational attributes are things like "accountunlocktime", among
others. They are visible under the cn=schema.

thanks,
Jonathan
