Hi Pash,

obviously you're not binding for some reason.  The error you are receiving is from the server (which server is it by the way?).  I'd suggest you try to simplify things; set your server to accept anonymous connections and get JX working with that, and then add authentication later.  You could also try without any base DN, or with a shorter base DN.

The fact that you are getting an error message back from the server means that you have the host and port correct, which is good :-).  Keep using Ldap v3, but try a shorter base DN, or none at all, and see if that helps.

Hi Chris,

This is Pash. In one of the JBoss forum its CTO suggested me to try JXplorer. Earlier I used to use ADAM ADSI Edit.

I have downloaded it but facing some issues in connecting to my ldap server.

Here are the details that I have provided in connection window..

Host :- 100.100.100.100
Port:- 389
Protocol : LDAP V3 (Tried will all available in dropdon list)
Base DSN:- OU=A,OU=B,OU=C Port,DC=comp,DC=xyz,DC=com
Imp:- there is space in OU= C and Port as your document says there should not be any space. I tried with both but didn't get through.

Security:- tried with both Anonymous as well as with user credentials

When I try to connect, it gives follwoing error

javax.naming.NamingException: [LDAP: error code 1 - 00000000: LdapErr: DSID-0C090627, comment: In order to perform this operation a successful bind must be completed on the connection., data 0, vece]

I am really missing to use this wonderful tool due to this error.

If you could help me that would be great.

regards,
Pash
