I'd guess most people just hack their ldif files with a text editor, but if you want a smoother way to do it, use JXplorer's 'view offline' facility to look at the entire LDIF tree, and then export your subtree from that... I think that will work, let me know if it doesn't :-).

That's a good idea. I'm stuck on the export, though, because it wants me to specify a DN for the root. What can I do if all the entries are in the following format?

   dn: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
   objectclass: top
   objectclass: person
   objectclass: organizationalPerson
   objectclass: inetOrgPerson
   objectclass: mozillaAbPersonAlpha
   mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
   modifytimestamp: 0Z

The new root DN is no problem, but what can I give it for the existing root DN?
