BTW, as a feature request, I like the option of being prompted whether or not
to save a copy of sent mail -- or at least some equally easy way to toggle
on/off saving on a case by case basis.
You could set your "Sent" folder to "Trash". Then it will simply be subject to
whatever settings you've set Trash to. You could move messages you want to
save from "Trash" to "Sent" if you want to keep them. Or BCC yourself to get a
copy of the messages you want.
