Hi Su,

I am pretty sure there are apps in the play store that you can install for your
particular device that will allow you to 'lock' an app and request a password
etc. before running/opening it, however because K-9 is expected to be always
running in some form or other to be able to download new mails etc. unless you
stop K-9 altogether after viewing your e-mails it may give issues to how it
polls for new mail if it is locked.

Sorry I cant be more help but I am sure there will be someone else on the forum
that will be able to fill in the blanks.

Hi there. Is there any way to set up K-9 Mail so that when I launch the app, it
requires me to log in to my account (ie, it doesn't just open the account/go
directly to the inbox)? I'm using it for my work email and I'd really like that
extra security layer. Yes, I have a PIN set on the screen and the SIM and
whatnot, but I'd still like to know that if I lose my phone or it's stolen,
anyone trying to get into my email will also have to know the password to that.

I don't want/need K-9 to be syncing mail when it's not launched so I don't need
to be permanently or automatically logged in.

Is there any way I can do this? And if not, does anyone know if it's possible
with ANY Android email app?
