Hi, I have exactly the same problem.
I had two POP accounts set up on my older Galaxy S, when I changed to a Galaxy Note 2 I was able to set up the first account ok, but when I try to set up the second account I get the same message, "Invalid setup: Not a valid URI". Very frustrating. It wont even let me experiment with the URI, any attempt to use a / or \ or : greys out the NEXT button.
