So I own my own domain and run a Microsoft Exchange email service through
Office 365.

>From my understanding, the only way to make Office 365 work with many email
clients is to set it up as an IMAP account in the client.

On my notebook computer, I run Thunderbird, and that is how I have it
setup, and everything works great. I am using the exact same settings in
K-9 and getting an error.

I logged into my server and double checked to make sure that the settings I
have are correct.

The error I am getting is when I am setting up the SMTP in K-9. The proper
SMTP server is smtp.office365.com . The username is my full email address,
and the password is entered correctly. For security, my server requires
TLS, so I have K-9 set to SSL/TLS (always). The port is 587. I have
Authentication set to Automatic, although I also tried Login and Plain.

When I click next, K-9 tried to check the settings, and I get a long error
on the screen. I took a screen shot of the error to share.

Can anyone be of any assistance?
