I'm puzzled by K-9's settings for controlling the syncing of folders. In documentation for "How to use K-9's folder class system" (http://goo.gl/8aocr5), there is a reference to, and explanation of, a setting called "Folder sync mode." As described, this provides a useful way to exclude 2nd Class folders. It seems to have been an account-level setting.
However, I cannot find this setting in my version of K-9 Mail (v. 4.803, downloaded from Google Play Store). And looking through the release notes, I don't see a reference to the feature being discontinued. In the same document, there is also a paragraph suggesting that setting a folder to 1st Class for display but 2nd Class for sync will prevent automatic syncing. No mention is made of what the "None" setting accomplishes in this menu. I'm puzzled by "Folder sync class" because I don't see a higher-level setting where the folder sync class is used, in the way that the folder-level setting for "Folder push class" is used by the account-level setting "Push folders." I can't grasp how this is supposed to work, and I've done web searches to no avail. Can anyone enlighten me about these settings? My goal is to prevent automatic syncing for certain displayed folders. Thanks. -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the K-9 Mail Users List.
