Bad provider, change provider :) There are pop to imap proxies. But I never used any.
So, here is a serious solution: create a Gmail account, setup the fetch to your other pop one, then, you have access to your messages via imap. To be able to send messages via gmail (web, or smtp), using your from address @provider.com ... there is a small security check you must do (somewhere in the gmail settings). Also, the very first sync may mess things a bit. Gmail does not rely on the date: field of emails, but on the date of the fetch. So, depending on how the pop server presented messages to gmail during the first sync ... your initial sync to gmail may show old mails as recent. After a few sync, and a few days, things will settle. If your provider does not offer imap, maybe the pop server is not compatible with the command/feature you want. Pop is complex, and has many OPTIONNAL features; so, can't be sure your admin does what you want. That's why the best fix is to use a cache server: Gmail. It will slow down email delivery by at most 3mn. Depending on pop server features, delivery from end to end can come down to less than 3s. Even for servers where I have set fetch every 5mn (in gmail), some messages may be delivered withint 10s, if pop server allows to keep connection open. When you don't find the fix, search for the workaround :) On Saturday, 12 July 2014 15:34:33 UTC+2, denmarfl wrote: > > Can't; email provider netzero only provides POP3 Mail; K-( advertises as > compadable with POP3 and I hope someone has the answer that will resolve my > Automatic Fetch issue > > -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the K-9 Mail Users List.
