K-9 Mail now[0] uses a generic OpenPGP interface[1] that can be implemented by third-party apps. If they do, they can be selected as crypto provider in K-9 Mail without us having to add any special support for those apps. The Guardian Project knows about this interface since they helped coming up with the design. The main work including the implementation[2] was done by the OpenKeychain[3] project which is also my recommendation for the crypto provider to use with K-9 Mail. But more choice is better. So please let the Guardian Project know you'd like them to also support this interface. -cketti [0]: This functionality was available in developments versions for a while. K-9 Mail v5.000 should be released later today.
