Hello all! I have been using K-9 Mail for a while now, in anticipation of using it together with OpenKeychain for all that GPGoodness. Today I finally got around to setting it all up:
1. Used GPG Keychain (GPGTools for Mac) to create a new pair of keys. 2. Move private and public key into OpenKeychain on my phone. 3. Send a signed email from my main address (paired with the keys) to a secondary address that is also in K-9 Mail. 4. K-9 Mail shows me the contents of the email together with the ‘Show attachments’ button. Behind the button the ‘signature.asc’ file is hidden, and K-9 Mail does not seem to verify anything. Am I doing something wrong? Does K-9 Mail simply not support verification of signatures in this way? Of course this is all very limited testing, but it was the quickest way I could think of to see if everything was set-up properly. Now that backfired… Is there any quick’n’dirty way of checking if the K-9 Mail & OpenKeychain combination is properly configured? Thanks!
