I had the same thing happen to me.  Tried asking for help with K9 and they 
never replied.  All settings were unchanged.  I had to uninstall and 
reinstall to get it working again.  A few weeks later it did it again.  All 
settings were fine.  Uninstalled and reinstalled again.  So far it has been 
fine for the last couple of weeks.  Sure wish K9 people would look into 
this.  Getting tired of re-adding the accounts.  I'm on a Samsung Galaxy 
S3.  What phone are you using?
