Since I switched to an Android Smart Phone in 2013,I have found & am using K9 as my
BEST & (almost) only email app.
BUT the ONLY shortcoming I find is that if I have to access a subfolder in my
inbox, I cannot. And have to use the Samsung Note 2 bundled app.
I imagine this should be an easy function to add.
This would make K9 a complete solution.
The functionality isn't missing. Your understanding of how to use it may
be. Assuming you are using IMAP (POP3 doesn't support folders).
1) From your INBOX, press the dog icon or < in the upper left hand
corner to go to the "Folders" screen.
2) In the lower right or upper right, there will be three vertical dots
which are a menu. Press that and select "Show folder..."
3) Select "All folders"
4) Press the three dot menu again and select "Refresh folder list"
From here, you can select classes and such for your folders to limit
syncing, displaying, etc.
Hope that gets you moving in the right direction.
