Bernard, my tablet isn't rooted and I don't have ADB set up on my system.

One thing likely to cause the crash is changing device orientation while it
is running. Certainly not the only way to cause a crash, but often will
cause it. I'm wondering if it is simply the hi-res screen; the Tab S is one
of those devices that has a greater than Full HD screen; something along
the lines of 2500x1400. I also run K9 on my Nexus 5, which is "only" 1080p,
and it doesn't seem to crash. I run K9 at least 20X more often on my tablet
than my Nexus 5, however.
