Isn't blackberry hub an integrated communications app - email/text/..., so in the context of email, an alternative to K-9 (or any other stand-alone email client). From what I understand, I don't see a blackberry hub/K-9 integration point -- they will both get/manage the content of your imap/pop mail account (i'm assuming that the bbh supports standards-based MUA protocols -- it seems to).
