The phone says it is 5.007.  Not sure on what date it updated as I think it 
is set to automatically update so apparently my phone still has this issue 
(unless the box had "unchecked" itself once again prior to the update, and 
the update didn't put it back, and I didn't realize it was not deleting the 
messages on the exact date it started, making the update not effective 
because I had to manually put it back on "checked" once again).  I guess I 
will just wait and see what happens over the next few weeks.  

What was causing it to "uncheck itself" even though I purposely had it 
checked?
