I wonder if that was really "asking to authorize the MITM cert being presented".
I am pretty sure there is an open issue for cert pinning to make you
notice this.

I wonder if the bad cert and dialog cleared the acceptable bit on the
old one.  It seems like that shouldn't be the case.  (I don't understand
if the whole manual cert stuff is in an android library or if each app
has to do it.)
