I just bought an LG L33L phone (Android 5.0.1). This is my first 'smart'
phone.

The phone came with an Email app already installed. Don't know who made it,
and can't find in on Google Play Store. It has no option to create plain
text messages, just HTML. Many of my Email recipients cannot accept HTML.
So I am going to install K-9, which does let me create plain text. If K-9
does what I want, I will no longer use the Email system currently installed
(although it does not appear that I can uninstall it, only Stop the
EmailService [whatever that does]).

I have read the K-9 documentation, and searched this forum, but I cannot
find information to two questions I have:
1. Will the K-9 Import feature import from my current Email app, or only
from a file previously exported from K-9?

2. I do NOT use Gmail. The Email system on my desktop computer uses a POP
server. I have therefore set up my phone's Email app with the same incoming
and outgoing server settings as on my computer, and that works fine. After
I repeat the incoming and outgoing server settings in K-9, can I safely
delete them from my current Email program? Or should I delete them from my
current Email app before I set up K-9?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Harry
