K-9 Mail will support Gmail's OAuth2 protocol once I merge my PR. I believe all I'm waiting for is the API key from cketti. It works fine on my device but it asks the user to authenticate an unknown app, which then can't be deauthenticated. Obviously that's not okay for general usage.
The ActionBar stuff is irrelevant.
