In trying to configure a fastmail.fm account, incoming doesn't say
either IMAP or POP (it lets me enter the IMAP server info) but
outgoing says "SMTP Server". How can I change it to IMAP for the
outgoing server?
IMAP is only for receiving e-mail. IMAP can't and doesn't deal with
sending e-mail. SMTP is the protocol used for sending e-mail.
Fastmail's documentation is misleading here because it present SMTP
after IMAP and POP, making it looking it's an alternative to those. It's
not. It's IMAP & SMTP or POP & SMTP.
