I have K9 set up on my Andoid phone (HTC M8) as POP3 and Thunderbird on my Win 8.1 laptop as IMAP Everything ran fine for a year or so, until last week, when I will receive up to 500 OLD messages on my phone. By OLD, I mean from Jan -April 2016 - and messages that were read previously and deleted, on the phone or the laptop. There is no rationale to as to WHEN I receive a large batch of old emails - it is a sporadic thing and I can go a few days & just receive the normal messages. Nothing has been changed on either the K9 on the phone nor Thunderbird on the laptop.
