I find it impossible to select the star icon while viewing a list of email in the Inbox. When the attempt is made, the slider is activated instead and jumps down to that spot.
Also, if you wish to slowly scroll down the list of email by dragging up or down the screen, but not on the slider, you must be over a centimeter away from the right edge, or else the slider will be activated and the list will jump to that point.
