My copy of K-9 Mail upgraded itself to a new version today, and now all of
a sudden I can no long edit the name labels of recipients if K-9 Mail pulls
them from my contacts list using the auto-suggestion feature.

So instead of inserting editable text, such as:

Firstname Lastname <[email protected]>

... as it used to, it now inserts an uneditable field, in which it pulls
the name label from the contacts list - as shown in the attached screen
capture (in which I've redacted my own email address)..

However I would rarely if ever want the name label to appear in that way in
an email, which means I have to manually type the email address now and not
use the auto-suggestion feature, whereas before the latest upgrade I was
able to allow K-9 Mail to insert the email address for me, which saved a
lot of time.

This loss of functionality is infuriating. Is there any setting I can
change to stop this horrible behaviour? If not, is there any way I can
upgrade my copy of K-9 Mail back to the previous version?

Dave
