That is a problem made by Google to confuse people and prevent them to use other clients than the original Googlemail app.
In your Google mail account you will find a notice that someone has tried to hack your mail account. But this was your attempt to log in with K-9. Just follow the instructions given in the notice and tell Google that you tried to log in with K-9. After this you can log in with K-9.
