Hi, I am using* K-9 5.403 *on my *Google Pixel 2 XL* running *Oreo 8.1.0*. I cannot find my k-9 mail files anywhere (using the X-plore file manager). Forum postings here and elsewhere mentioned the com.fsck.k9 package residing under Android/data. I see no such package there. I tried using the Android Debugging Bridge (ADB) to backup the com.fsck.k9 package but the resulting .ab file is basically empty. I also converted a full ADB backup of the old phone (created using -apk -shared -all) and then converted to a tar file using the java-based android-backup-extractor and tried to search through the contents that way and still found nothing from k9.
This problem came up because I just moved to a replacement Google Pixel 2 XL phone and after doing the initial data transfer during setup, I noticed that the K-9 mail files for each account were not transferred. So I'm trying now to copy them over manually. *So where on earth does K9 5.403 store my mail files on Oreo 8.1.0? And why do they make it so ridiculously hard to locate?* Jerry -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "K-9 Mail" group.
