Go to the setting right below the number of emails to retrieve and select "all" and you are done!

The app gives me the option of loading "up to 25, or 250, etc" previous emails but loads none. I don't find anything in Global settings or the server settings in my 2 accounts. I do have a pretty full trash folder.
