Thanks for all those who tried to help me.. But at this point, trying to get
K-9 to show the author of a Yahoogroup post, not the email address of the
group is moot. Another issue that is of just as important, but unlikely can
be solved because its not a K-9 problem, but a Samsung Galaxy Wearable app
problem.
Another item of importance that worked for years between my GS5 running
Android 6 and my Pebble Steel watch is this. When the K-9 app receives a
email, I want the email to show up on my smart watch, showing the author,
subject, and some of the incoming message. For reasons I don’t understand,
this feature works fine on my Fossil Smart Watch, but on the Samsung Sport
watch, it just shows how many emails unread I have in that particular
account. The only difference being the SG Wearable app. When I entered the
same account in the Gmail app, it shows the individual emails. So K-9 doesn’t
like the SG Wearable app, but does like the Wear OS app. I figure there
might be a setting somewhere, but if that is the answer.. cant find it.
When I had smart phones that runs Android 8 or better, even loading a
security patch, apps go haywire, this is just another case where the more
you over take the plumbing, the easier it is to stuff up the sink.
