Starting today, the email client that I am using on my Android phone (K9 Mail) is suddenly giving an "Authentication Failed" notification whenever I open it. If I click on the notification it displays the saved incoming server settings, and even if I then reenter my Gmail password rather than accepting the existing **** one that is hidden with asterisks, and click Next, it then says "username or password incorrect". But the password I enter is my correct Google password, and the username is my email address.
However, the built in Android email client is still retrieving my Gmail emails without problems, so it's not Android or my phone, it's just my K9 Mail email client that is being blocked. How can I get to the bottom of this and fix it? NB - If I go to https://myaccount.google.com/security, and look under "Third-party apps with account access", K-9 Mail is no longer listed there. But I can't see any way to add it. Dave -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "K-9 Mail" group.
