We recently fixed some bugs where database entries could have been kept when they shouldn't have been. These bugs are fixed in K-9 Mail 5.711 and newer. Right now messages could also pile up in the local Trash folder when you often delete messages using K-9 Mail. To get rid of these messages you have a couple of options: a) Use K-9 Mail's "empty trash" action. This will remove all messages from the Trash folder in K-9 Mail and on the server. b) Use the "clear local messages" action. This will remove all messages from the Trash folder in K-9 Mail, but doesn't do anything on the server. c) Manually or automatically sync the Trash folder. This will keep the number of messages in K-9 Mail's local Trash folder to what is configured under 'Account settings > Fetching mail > Local folder size'. Of course this doesn't help if the value is "all messages". -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "K-9 Mail" group.
