Heyaz. This is an announcement that version 0.99 of the
Kaboodle LAN-Management utility for Windows has been released.
This is the full-featured version; 1.0 will simply include better
integration with the GetEngaged web portal. Once it's built, that
is...

Kaboodle is similar to other "VNC helper" applications
like VNC Manager and Zebedee. It distinguishes itself by being
a collection of many smaller utilities, all in one place (hence
it's name). I hope some of you find that it makes your VNC
experience easier. In fact...if it's not the easiest way to
find all the VNC servers on your LAN, manage a list of passwords
for them, and establish an encrypted tunnel to connect securely
to them, I'll eat a bug. :)

        Improvements from version 0.95 include:

1. The LAN-to-LAN secure tunneling and gatewaying is now fully
functional (!). So if you install Kaboodle on a PC on your LAN,
and your partner installs Kaboodle on a PC on their LAN, the
two of you can now access all instances of VNC on each other's
networks. All via one TCP port of your choosing. All secured
   with 64/128/256-bit Zebedee encryption. Cool.

2. Accelerated file-transfer.

3. Improved auto-discovery of your LAN's VNC servers and logging
   of all VNC usage.

You can find the new binary in the usual places:

http://kaboodle.sourceforge.net
http://www.kaboodle.org

Kaboodle uses the Zebedee binary for securing the data
connections and tunnels; it also uses the WinPCAP binary for
LAN sniffing. You'll need to install these two binaries to get it
all working.

Any comments/feedback/suggestions (and, okay, bug reports)
appreciated!

cheers,
Scott
