Vikas: Hello! Sorry for the late reply. Yes, Kaboodle's GetEngaged-VPN capability can be used to secure a VNC session across the Internet. Any flavor of VNC is supported. The security of the connection can be considered by two metrics: authentication security, and data privacy. Kaboodle's GetEngaged-VPN uses Public/Private keypairs for authentication, which is pretty solid. And its data privacy is as good as a Zebedee session since that's what it actually uses. :)
Regarding the best VNC version to use with a slow modem, I'd suggest you simply install the 3 major versions (RealVNC, TightVNC, and UltraVNC) and run your own tests. All of them are being actively supported, so any "competative impression" I might have had from last year is old news by now. Hope that helps! -Scott On Tue, 10 Aug 2004, Vikas Goyal wrote: > Hi, > Thanks for giving such good softwares free for us. > I just wanted to confirm that if i want to use UltraVNC with Kaboodle to connect two > LANs together will it be secure connection,i mean almost secure.
