Hi Scott
Have progressed a bit. I can now "connect" from home to office but not office to home. However when I attempt to take over remote ctl of the office pc from home, nothing happens. What is supposed to happen? I had assumed once connected I could browse the remote files and initiate file transfers from the remote pc. Is this correct?
Regards Dave D.

Dave:
Heya. I've noticed the "instant not-found" message too,
but it was usually a correct message. That is, I had the wrong
partnership files installed on one side ofthe Kaboodle connection.
Please be sure that:

1. Both sides have a unique registration file installed.
2. The first side has a partnership file installed that's associated
with the second side's registration file.
3. The second side has a partnership file installed that's associated
with the first side's registration file.

Right now, there's something of a "functional bug" in
Kaboodle, in that it will allow a user to install a Registration
file and then subsequent Partnership files that are not actually
associated with the installed Registration file. I've got a good
way of fixing that, but it involves finishing an application
server that runs alongside the GetEngaged database server.

Anyhow...please check those above 3 things. You may want
to delete the current Registration and Partnership folders (in
the Kaboodle install folder), and SHIFT-key start Kaboodle, just
to be sure.

hth,
Scott

Ok. so now the proxy loads. However when I click on connect button, I get an immediate message "Sorry, your Get Engaged partner was not found." What is odd about it is that the message is instant. In the past it used to try to connect for a minute or so before giving up. Now it looks like it's not even attempting to connect. Any ideas?

Whoops, demo server was down. It's up again. Password to connect is "demo2005".

1 steps forward, 2 steps back.
I installed the latest beta release with the new layout. However there is a problem with Kaboodle proxy. When I click on setup, and navigate to the proxy status window, I click on add, enter the internet address (copied via the clipboard), and the new password. It fails to load the proxy demo and gives me an error box saying proxy was not found. The new coding perhaps does not recognize demo proxy as a legitimate proxy?
