Heya. Some answers inline:
I am new to testing/trying kaboodle. Following problems and setup: 1) as per seeing other posts on here - downloaded feb12th beta, not 99e 1) On one side of network connection - pc's are listed as macs
Hmmm. Are they Macs, or are they Windows PC's?
2) partnership lists keep getting listed twice
Which partnership list has duplicate entries?
Can't figure out which to use - doesn't seem to matter
3) Once or twice got connected via proxy - but then disconnected
4) when connecting lans direct (port forwarding on both lans set to default udp port - connects - but dialog box stays up - then dialog box goes away and get disconnect
I'll see if I can reproduce this.
5) bet has no installer - not sure where kaboodle needs to be installed
Right, the Beta's don't have an installer. It doesn't need to be installed anywhere in particular. Just be sure to startup Kaboodle holding the SHIFT key down if you are starting it up in a run directory different from where you ran it the time before.
6) not sure if i need winpcap - installed it but kaboodle doesn't see it
I'll see if I can reproduce this as well.
