Hi. You may try to install the fresh port from Kero for iPAQ linux, made two days ago:
http://www.handhelds.org/feeds/kaffe iPaq and YOPY are mostly compatible. You may seach for alternatives on www.handhelds.org, also. Don`t worry about the ipk-format.
