I mean the directories defined in my --prefix, which are not the same on

have you tried passing the directories on your ARM machine to
--prefix and using "make install DESTDIR=/path/to/arm/root"
to install kaffe?
 

That works but it?s not perfect. In DESTDIR I have the directory I 
specified in --prefix i.e.
--prefix=/a/b
DESTDIR=/x/y

I have kaffe binaries in /x/y/a/b
I?d like to have binaries in /x/y
Is it possible ?
