Okay, the problem seems to be due to awt-implementations triggering a rebuild of things. I'll make sure that it does not do that anymore.

The actual problem was that JNI headers were not generated for some classes because the precompiled rt.jar was not passed to kaffeh. That's fixed now, and it builds fine again, as far as I can tell :)
It still rebuilds kaffe's AWT implementation (which takes around 30 megs, afaict), and gjdoc. If that's causing a memory problem in your setup, I could add options to configure.ac to turn the building of kaffe's AWT, gmp math and gcjdoc class libraries off.
